It is with mixed emotions that we announce we will be closing the Blue Note Bakery. It is time for me to enjoy my family and explore new endeavors. I would like to express my gratitude for your support through the years – it’s clients like you that have allowed me to do what I love for almost 15 years!

Angela Jiles is the “Confection Composer” at Blue Note Bakery. She is a professional pastry chef and a 1993 graduate of Johnson & Wales University. Over the years she has been a pastry chef at Dell, Moose’s in San Francisco and Vespaio here in Austin, as well as a pastry instructor at The Culinary Academy of Austin. Angela has been in the pastry profession since 1990, loves what she does, and believes each cake and dessert should be a work of edible art.
She met her husband, Merrideth (a musician), here in Austin and believes that without music and cake, the world would be a boring place.
“I love the Austin music scene, and how diverse and unique the Austinite palate is for food and the arts,” says Angi.
